Fixing factual errors

Your business name, address, phone number, website, hours, or service list can all be corrected. To fix a factual field, submit the correct value along with proof of it: a link to your Google Business Profile, your website, or another official source we can verify against. Once we confirm the correction, it stays in place through future data refreshes.

Disputing a score

Scores are never hand-edited. A dispute works differently: it is a claim that the data feeding the score is wrong. Examples include your listing being matched to the wrong business, reviews being credited to you when they belong elsewhere, or a summary misrepresenting what reviewers actually wrote. When you dispute a listing, we re-examine the source data and rebuild your entry from scratch. A dispute is not a request for a higher number; it is a correction of the input itself.

Requesting removal

We remove listings for three reasons: your business is permanently closed, the listing is a duplicate of another entry, or the business falls outside our scope. We also run a monthly re-verification to catch and remove closed businesses automatically. If your listing is accurate and falls within scope, we may decline the removal request, and we will explain why plainly.

How long it takes

Every request gets an acknowledgment within 5 business days. Confirmed removals are processed within 7 days. Declined requests include the reason we declined them.
